कोटे डी’आवोर की महिला छात्रा 31 ग्राम कोकीन के साथ गिरफ्तार, NDPS एक्ट में केस दर्ज

इंदौर। नारकोटिक्स सेल इंदौर ने मुखबिर की सूचना पर बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए अफ्रीकी देश कोटे डी’आवोर (Côte d’Ivoire) की 25 वर्षीय महिला को 31 ग्राम कोकीन पाउडर के साथ गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी महिला का नाम लिंडा पिता का नाम अनाबा बताया जा रहा है। वह स्टूडेंट वीजा पर भारत आई थी और मुंबई के नाला सोपारा क्षेत्र में रह रही थी।

मंगलवार देर रात नारकोटिक्स टीम को सूचना मिली कि मुंबई से इंदौर आई एक विदेशी महिला के पास भारी मात्रा में कोकीन है। सूचना पर त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए टीम ने महिला को दबोच लिया। तलाशी में उसके पास से 31 ग्राम उच्च गुणवत्ता वाला कोकीन पाउडर बरामद हुआ, जिसकी अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार में कीमत लाखों रुपए आंकी जा रही है।

पुलिस ने NDPS एक्ट की संबंधित धाराओं में मामला पंजीबद्ध कर महिला को न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया है। फिलहाल महिला के पासपोर्ट और वीजा की वैधता की भी गहन जांच की जा रही है। पूछताछ में महिला ने अभी तक कोई ठोस जानकारी नहीं दी है। पुलिस यह पता लगाने में जुटी है कि कोकीन उसने किससे ली थी और इंदौर में किसे सप्लाई करने आई थी।

नारकोटिक्स सेल के सूत्रों का कहना है कि इंदौर में शुद्ध कोकीन पाउडर का यह संभवतः पहला मामला है। पहले एमडी ड्रग्स, हेरोइन और गांजे के मामले सामने आते रहे हैं, लेकिन कोकीन का मामला दुर्लभ है।

कार्रवाई नारकोटिक्स विंग प्रभारी निरीक्षक राधा जामोद के नेतृत्व में हुई। टीम में निरीक्षक हरीश सौलंकी, प्रधान आरक्षक ओम, महिला आरक्षक स्मिता आर., प्रदीप और रजनीश की सराहनीय भूमिका रही।

पुलिस उपायुक्त (नारकोटिक्स) ने बताया कि विदेशी नागरिकों के जरिए ड्रग्स तस्करी के नेटवर्क पर लगातार नजर रखी जा रही है और आगे भी ऐसी कार्रवाइयां जारी रहेंगी।

Indore: Ivorian woman student arrested with 31 grams of cocaine, first such case in city

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a major action, the Narcotics Cell of Indore Police arrested a 25-year-old woman from Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) with 31 grams of high-quality cocaine powder on Tuesday night. This is believed to be the first case of pure cocaine seizure in Indore.

The accused has been identified as Linda, daughter of Anaba, a native of Côte d’Ivoire. She had entered India on a student visa and was residing in Nala Sopara area of Mumbai. She had come to Indore from Mumbai a few days ago.

Acting on specific tip-off from an informer, the Narcotics Wing team laid a trap and nabbed the woman. During search, 31 grams of cocaine powder worth several lakhs in the international market was recovered from her possession.

A case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered and the woman has been produced before the court. Investigation is underway to find out from whom she procured the drug and to whom she was supposed to deliver it in Indore. Her passport and visa documents are also being thoroughly verified.

Sources in the Narcotics Cell said that while cases of MD drugs, heroin, ganja and brown sugar are common, seizure of pure cocaine powder is extremely rare in Indore.

The operation was led by Inspector Radha Jamod. Inspector Harish Solanki, Head Constable Om, Woman Constable Smita R., Constables Pradeep and Rajnish played a key role in the successful raid.

DCP (Narcotics) stated that strict vigil is being maintained on drug networks involving foreign nationals and such operations will continue in the future.
