प्रदीप चौधरी।। सीबीआई ने कथित अपराधी मोनिका कपूर को हिरासत में लिया है, जिसे अब अमेरिका से भारत लाया जा रहा है। मोनिका पर 2000-2002 के बीच आयात-निर्यात के फर्जी दस्तावेज बनाकर धोखाधड़ी का आरोप है। वह 25 साल से फरार थी।सीबीआई के अनुसार, मोनिका 1999 में अमेरिका चली गई थी, जहाँ उसने अपने दो भाइयों के साथ मिलकर आभूषण व्यवसाय के लिए जाली दस्तावेज तैयार किए। इनका उपयोग कथित तौर पर भारत सरकार से शुल्क-मुक्त कच्चे माल के आयात के लिए लाइसेंस प्राप्त करने में किया गया। इस धोखाधड़ी से भारतीय खजाने को 6,79,000 अमेरिकी डॉलर से अधिक का नुकसान हुआ। CBI Detains Alleged Criminal Monica Kapoor, Being Brought Back to India from the USThe CBI has taken alleged criminal Monica Kapoor into custody, and she is now being extradited from the United States to India. She had been absconding for 25 years.In a statement, the CBI said that after the alleged fraud, fugitive Monica Kapoor fled to the US in 1999, where she, along with her two brothers, created forged documents for a jewelry business.
